Visiting from the Orlando area, or other parts of Florida for the day? We have some suggestions!
We get a lot of people looking spend a day at the beach while visiting other parts of Florida. If you are not sure where to go, we are here to help!
We know with 36 miles of beaches in our county, the amount of choices of where to go can be overwhelming. Here is our short list of some of our favorite local beaches. All of the beaches on our list are very family friendly and offer a great day at the beach.
We are not affiliated with any of these locations, they are just some of our personal favorites, and favorites of people who have rented from us in the past.
Pass-a-Grille Beach
Pass-a-Grille Beach is a favorite for many, including us. Pass-a-Grille is very easy to get to when coming in from I-275, and also offers a good deal of parking along the beach. There are several restaurants within walking distance and there are also a couple of different public restrooms and showers available. The Paradise Grille is located right on the beach and they offer a variety of counter service food, snacks and beverages.
Upham Beach
Upham Beach is located in the city of St Pete Beach. Just like Pass-a-Grille, there is a Paradise Grille on the beach for counter service food, snacks and beverages. There is not as much parking available as there is in Pass-a-Grille, but there is a fair amount available. Public restrooms and showers are also available on site.
Tiki Gardens
Tiki Gardens is a Pinellas County Beach access point located at 19601 Gulf Blvd in Indian Shores. Driving to Tiki Gardens is fairly easy when coming from I-275 as it is located just north of the Park Blvd/Gulf Blvd intersection. This location is not as well known as some of the others which means it is usually much less crowded that any of the other beach access points. Tiki Gardens has the largest amount of parking available and also offers public restrooms and showers on site. There is a designated traffic light to assist with crossing the street to the beach.
4700 Gulf Blvd, St Pete Beach
This location is a Pinellas County Beach access point. At this location you are right in the middle of everything in St Pete Beach. This location has a tremendous amount of parking, along with restrooms and showers on site.
Redington Shores Beach Access
Located at 18200 Gulf Blvd, this is another Pinellas County Beach access point that offers a lot of parking. There are public restrooms and showers available on site, and there are a few restaurants within walking distance from the parking area.
